Westhall Estate ( Rillagalla )
A plantation reaching back to the beginnings of tea in then Ceylon, by 1892 it was one of a handful of estates to exceed 1000 acres in extent. It was also one of the top five estates which regularly featured in the Mincing Lane auctions from 1875. From Atherton division It offers breathtaking views of the Nagastenne range and the Nawalapitiya valley. Selling under the “Rilagala” mark, so named after the large bands of monkeys which inhabit its rocky terrain, it offers an attractive range of rich-bodied, mid-country orthodox tea as well as delectable special varieties.
