Holyrood Estate

The Holyrood Estate is nestled in the spectacular tea country of Talawakelle-Nanu Oya, home to some of the finest tea growing estates in the world. The Holyrood factory built in 1922 is famous for its production of high quality western high grown tea. It has the distinction of being one of the only two factories in the country to be awarded the accredited HACCP certification. Spread across 331.44 hectares, at an elevation of 1,341 metres, the estate has an annual yield that exceeds over 1500 kilogrammes of tea per hectare.
