Maha Eliya Estate (Calsay)

Maha Eliya is the garden mark of Calsay Maha Eliya Estate situated in the cool climes of Nanu Oya, 14 kilometres from the Nuwara Eliya town. The total extent of 182.55 hectares of the estate lies at an elevation of 1,462.43 – 1,614.83 metres with an annual rainfall of 1,800 millimetres. The estate contains an estate bungalow built in the early 1920s. The factory established 1948 has a withering capacity of 9,120 kilogrammes and drying capacity of 2,280 kilogrammes. Maha Eliya Estate, with its rigorous sustainability standards has been certified by the Rainforest Alliance and the Ethical Tea Partnership.
