Poronuwa Estate

Poronuwa Estate, established in 1927, is located in Kahawatte in Sri Lanka’s Ratnapura District at an elevation of 134 metres above sea level. The Estate consists of tea and rubber spread over 515 hectares. The total monthly output of tea at the Poronuwa factory is around 35,000 kilogrammes. The current roadway leading to Poronuwa is a former railway track.
